Dead plants

I ordered 5 potentilla plants. They arrived 2 days ago and were almost completely brown with a few green leaves. These plants were expensive and totally unacceptable. I tried to call Wayside but after being on hold for more than 10 minutes my call was disconnected. I then emailed them but have not had a response. I would like a refund of my $110.00. Do not order from this company.

Complaint on quality of bloomathon Azealeas

i received my order ,i have tried to call 8 times with no answer on waysides end of the phone my ship date of the order was3/25/2020, order number was SO377****. i unpacked the box when it arrived here, and immediately unpacked the 3 bloomathon azaleas all 3 had bee so badly handled when packed all 3 have just a few unbroken branches one poor shrub had only one branch left unbroken! and this is proven winners that is supposed to be great quality?? this is the 4th time in many years that i have been very unhappy with a purchase made from waysidei just want a credit to my charge account as i could not even speak to a live person,and i had to e-mail you,and i am certain the next round of shrubs will come the same way to my gardens broken ,and a great disapointment to me again ,so just credit my charge card account sires ,and please remove me off your mailing catalouge list and remove my name off any further e-mails also!

I purchased w-sonic bloom back in March

I very disappointed at this time it's April and the plant are showing no sign of life. The twigs are still BROWN. I was so looking forward to this shrub and the cost...wow to not have a good produced. 214-909-****

Great stuff...watch the shipments, especially bulbs from oversees

Ordered 2 peony bulbs in September. Received the two sealed plastic bags but only one had a bulb in it. The other had peat moss and no bulbBulbs came from Holland so no one checked kit. Sent a letter with bag and asked for refund. Nothing for 3 monthly credit card billing cycles. It's 20$ but more importantly, I have to stop doing business with companies that take from their customers. I have not done business with Amazon in 18 months and never will again. There are too many other options and I don't need these companies. All problems start at point of shipment

Personally I would stay clear of Wayside. I ordered two 3packs of Asclepias 'Cinderella' - Pack of 3 Plants per website ordering. I received TWO PLANTS !! I called and customer service said it was an advertising misprint !! They never offered to allow me to send the two plants back for a full refund. Don't deal with a business that does not own up to their mistakes. I am sure there are many on-line nurseries who CARE about customer satisfaction !!

Terrible customer service

I tried to use a gift card that Wayside said had expired. There was no expiration date on the gift card. Yolanda told me that she was sending my info to her supervisor b/c I should be able to use the card. Two weeks later, no response and no resolution. I ordered what I wanted from White Flower Farms. They do provide good customer service.

Horrendous

I ordered approximately 200 bulbs and only about 20 bloomed. I tried to call company, never got through, sent an email and received a response that they were inundated and would get back to me, send a letter to which I received no response. I am still waiting 1.5 years later for the response to my email.

Ordered several peonies and forgot to include one small plant, that would qualify my order for free shipping. Immediately called and emailed but got no response till following day and Wayside replied order was already processed but I didn't receive plants till weeks later.

When arrived, the $40.00 peony was a dead stick. When I called Wayside, they sent another sickly plant. I noticed the price had dropped dramatically by then and asked for an adjustment. Wayside replied they did not "price match." I will never order from them again.

They are not interested in helping their customers, just ripping them off, and sending dead plants. I will now only order from other venders, NOT Wayside.

Not too happy customer

I bought a climbing rose Graham Thomas. The rose bush grew to about 7inches tall, and stopped growing.

It was planted in new soil in April or may of 2017. The woman who answered my call, said wayside garden didn’t sell this rose. I looked it up and found I was right, you do carry this rose. She then asked for the order number, which I don’t have.

She could have asked for my customer number, that was probably asking too much. I have owned and cared for many rosebushes. (Tea roses).

Sorry to say, I will not be ordering from you in the future. Susan Moller..suzyq209@***.com

Many plants didn't bloom & they don't stand by their product.

I bought several plants from Wayside and a few never bloomed. I was hoping it just wasn't 'blooming' season yet, and patiently waited. Once I determined it wasn't going to happen after 3 months, I contacted Wayside to see what might have happened. The response was, "I am sorry to hear that your items failed to survive. Our records indicate that your guarantee period has expired, already. Your order was shipped on 5/10/18 and is no longer covered. Unfortunately, we cannot adjust your order for plant failure". I originally noticed their plants were a bit higher priced than others, but wanted to ensure I got the best and thought that might be why, but I was wrong.

Wayside does not know how to ship

Placed an order early in May. Wayside chose to ship the order the Friday before Memorial Day.

They shipped UPS/US mail. The shipment was scheduled to arrive the following Thursday. I was able to pay UPS additional money to be delivered by UPS on Wednesday. After spending a 3 day weekend in a hot warehouse and a couple of days in a hot truck all 3 plants arrived dead.

I called and was told I would get credit and 2 weeks later I am still waiting. I have ordered many plants on line and never received them just packed in peanut Styrofoam. All good plant suppliers have special boxes to ship plants.

Garden Crossings only ships on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

They are in Michigan and Monday shipments are to the most distant points with Wednesday shipments to the closest cities. I have never had a problem with them.

This company does not honor their stated guarantee

I placed a large order with Wayside in August last year. Some of the plants were back ordered, although they did not communicate this to me until I reached out to them, wondering where they were. I finally received the final shipment in late October, some of them either dormant or dead. In the spring, I waited in anticipation for them to come up. Several of them did not. Three packages of starflowers, two of which I'd given as gifts never came up, three primulas never came up and were quite costly for the size and state of the plants that arrived, and two hydrangeas never came up. When I contacted Wayside Gardens to let them know, they said that the guarantee period had passed and that they could not refund or replace the plants. Of the plants that did come up this year, only one of them bloomed. I'm hopeful that the rest will next year.
